This seven-day journey starts and ends in Jinka, so there's no long transfer to Arba Minch or Addis. You'll spend unhurried time with the Mursi in Mago National Park, a Hamer family near Turmi, the Karo at Korcho and the Dassanech at Omorate, with an Omo River boat trip and the chance to visit Key Afer market on the right day.
Groups are small (maximum six travellers), the pace is relaxed, and every day balances real time in communities with rest. All park, community and guiding fees are included, and accommodation is a mix of eco-lodge and permanent tented camp with hot showers.
A day-by-day look at your journey.
Your guide meets you at Jinka Airport and transfers you to Eco Omo Lodge. After lunch and a rest, visit the South Omo Research Centre and Museum for context on the communities you'll meet. In the evening, a coffee ceremony and full briefing: route, etiquette, photography rules, and the week ahead.
Only verified guests can review this tour.
