The Kwegu live in small settlements along the Omo River, historically fishing, hunting and gathering. They are one of the valley's smallest communities, and their relationships with larger neighbours such as the Mursi and Bodi are complex and long-standing.
Hollowed-log canoes, fishing nets, and houses built close to the river. Time spent with a Kwegu family is usually slower than other visits, and is best done as an overnight stay agreed with the community.
